    Part-time Lecturer / Teaching Associate (English and Communication)

    Major Duties of Lecturer :
    (a) To perform teaching duties in the day time or evenings in various sites;
    (b) To develop course curriculum and teaching materials; and
    (c) To engage in academic developments such as conducting assessments and providing learning support.
    Requirements for Lecturer :
    (a) (i) A recognized degree in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English), preferably with postgraduate qualifications; OR
      (ii) A recognized degree in a non-relevant field, preferably with postgraduate qualification; AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or as a Foreign Language or To Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognized by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP).  A transcript with course details including the number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration; and
    (b) At least 3 years’ relevant teaching experience and/or industrial experience; and
    (c) Good communication and presentation skills.
    Notes :
    (1) Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment in English.
    (2) Applicants with less experience may be considered for the post of “Part-time Teaching Associate”.
