Seven students in the Higher Diploma in Games and Animation at the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology at IVE (Tuen Mun) created an immersive virtual reality (VR) experience for the "Twenty-Four Vistas: The Inner Landscape" Art Exhibition organized by Lok Chi Association, using technology to unlock the infinite possibilities of art. Breaking away from traditional frameworks, the exhibition transforms physical paintings and artworks into VR images, allowing visitors to step into a virtual world and gain a deeper understanding of the mindsets and artistic achievements of artists with intellectual disabilities. Supported by the Social Welfare Department's Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities, the exhibition opened on 24 October at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre (JCCAC). It featured cement pots, ceramics, and creative paintings by 24 talented artists with intellectual disabilities, showcasing their unique artistic visions and creative talents. Through the exhibition, visitors gained a deeper appreciation of these artists' talents and experienced how technology builds bridges between art and inclusion.
