Engineering Students of IVE/TM won the “Green Energy Dreams Come True Competition”
HK Electric held the “Green Energy Dreams Come True Competition” to promote decarbonization, energy efficiency and conservation, and renewable energy. A team of four students from the Higher Diploma in Building Services Engineering at IVE (Tuen Mun) designed a “Sustainable Green Energy EV Charging Station” model and received the Outstanding Award in the tertiary group.
This project focuses on energy sources, aiming to utilize renewable green energy, including solar power (through solar panels installed on building rooftops) and wind power generated from the ventilation system (through mini wind turbines installed in building ventilation ducts), to supplement traditional power sources and enhance overall energy efficiency.

IVE (Tuen Mun) Student Awards Presentation Ceremony 2026
IVE (Tuen Mun) Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was held successfully this year to recognize outstanding student achievements in both academic and holistic development, and to encourage continued pursuit of excellence. The ceremony also provided an opportunity for awardees to express appreciation to donors, strengthening ties between the Institute and the community.
This year, approximately 170 students were awarded scholarships and bursaries in recognition of their excellence in academic performance, professional skills, and extracurricular activities. The awards not only affirm students’ dedication and hard work but also support their future learning and development.

IVE Engineering Students Shine at HKIE Building Services Division SLG Presentation Competition 2026
IVE Engineering students achieved outstanding results at the HKIE Building Services Division Student Liaison Group Presentation Competition 2026 on 31 January 2026. Two IVE teams excelled in a strong field of 11 teams from 4 local institutions—including The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and City University of Hong Kong—winning the Champion and Second Runner-up titles. Their success highlights the innovative thinking and technical competence fostered by IVE Engineering.

IVE Engineering Students Shine at Hong Kong Housing Society Scholarship Awards Awards!
The Hong Kong Housing Society held the 21st HKHS Award ceremony on 31 January, recognizing excellence in housing and elderly services. A total of 100 students were honored, each receiving HK$10,000. Nineteen IVE Engineering Higher Diploma students were among the awardees. Kelvin Mok (Building Services Engineering, Year 2) won the inaugural "Rising Changemaker Prize," earning an additional HK$40,000 for his "Smart Elderly Community in the Greater Bay Area" proposal.
Congratulations to all awardees—IVE Engineering continues to nurture innovative, practice-ready talent for the built environment.

Business students attend a lecture at the Hong Kong Customs College
52 Year 1 students of the Higher Diploma in Management for Disciplined Services of the Business Department attended the lecture from Hong Kong Customs College. During the session, students experienced the 1:1 cargo search training and the AR customs clearance training. The students enjoyed interactive activities and learned customs clearance procedures in real-life scenarios. This valuable experience reinforced the knowledge they learned in class.

IVE (Kwun Tong) x PKW Charitable Foundation – Charity Walk 2025 Successfully Concluded 🎉
A heartfelt thank you to all participants, sponsors, teachers and students in Kwun Tong district, and members of the community for enthusiastically joining us in witnessing the “Charity Walk 2025” on September 21! Despite the wind and rain, participants embarked on a meaningful walking journey to support for charity. Along the way, participants enjoyed the beautiful revitalized scenery of Tsui Ping River, while students and volunteer teams cheered them on 💪
In addition to completing the walking challenge, participants also enjoyed interactive games and student busking performances at the final stop along the Kwun Tong Promenade. Everyone left with a delightful gift pack, full of joy and memories. We look forward to more collaborations in the future, uniting community strength to bring love and care to those in need!

3Cs Prize Presentation Ceremony 2025
The 3Cs Prize Presentation Ceremony 2025 was held on 22 May 2025, with around 260 participants, to recognise and celebrate students’ achievements in various 3Cs-related competitions and activities. These included the ImmerseMe Cup 2024 & ImmerseMe Games 2025, KoL! E-lite Award, “My VTC Diaries” Inter-campus Video Making Competition, "My Gen Z Dreams: Talents Beyond Imagination" Inter-school Video Making Competition, the Student Curator Programme, 「悅」語同行獎勵計劃, 「專業•文化」創意設計比賽 and 中華文化才藝比賽. The event also served as a platform to showcase students’ growth as engaging and effective communicators along their VPET journey.
