    Temporary / Term Technician
    Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Tsing Yi)
    Department / Section : Department of Business

    Major Duties:
    (a) To set up, operate and maintain the facilities and equipment in laboratories and workshops;
    (b) To support the day-to-day operation and management of the laboratories and workshops;
    (c) To provide technical support and services to staff and students of the Department;
    (d) To assist in design and preparation of publicity materials for the Department; and
    (e) To maintain the safety and tidiness of the laboratories and workshops.
    (a) A recognised Diploma or Higher Certificate in Computer Science or related discipline;
    (b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience;
    (c) Solid experience in operating Window PC and Mac platforms & peripherals;
    (d) Experience in graphic design software, for examples Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign, is a plus;
    (e) Good negotiation, problem solving, and interpersonal skills; and
    (f) Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese.
    (1) Applicants should specify their related skills and knowledge of equipment and software in “(VII) OTHER INFORMATION” of the application form.
    (2) Applicants may be required to attend a trade test.
    (3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours.
