    Senior Project Officer
    Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK)

    The Institute of Professional Education And Knowledge (PEAK) is a unit of Vocational Training Council responsible for the provision of in-service training and professional examination services.  More than 200 major companies have utilized its corporate training services. 
     
    Major Duties:
    (a) To plan, design and develop quality training products, examination and assessment services for the corporate, government and professional development markets;
    (b) To manage and operate in-service training programmes, consultancy projects, assessments and corporate training for the insurance, banking and financial services industries;
    (c) To grow customer base and develop new market opportunities for PEAK in Hong Kong, Macau and on the Mainland;
    (d) To achieve annual financial income targets and business results;
    (e) To provide support for matters relating to the accreditation/re-accreditation of PEAK’s programmes; and implement VTC quality assurance policies;
    (f) To work closely with all stakeholders, both internal and external, for the betterment of Vocational and Professional Education and Training (VPET);
    (g) To assist in the development of new services and programmes to meet the needs of the industry; and
    (h) To perform teaching duties and supervise student projects where necessary.
       
    Requirements:
    (a) A recognised degree and relevant professional qualification(s) in insurance (e.g. ANZIIF, CII, etc.), or equivalent;
    (b) At least 5 years’ relevant experience in the planning, design, development and implementation of examination and assessment services, learning and development programmes, etc., for in-service personnel in the insurance, banking and financial services industries;
    (c) An in-depth understanding of the required technical and regulatory knowledge for insurance intermediaries, including but not limited to a thorough understanding of the local insurance regulatory framework, related guidelines and legal principles, insurance practice, etc.; 
    (d) Good understanding of the vision and mission of the Council and the future development of VPET;
    (e) Demonstrated track record in the insurance industry and strong business networks of corporate clients and training professionals in the insurance, banking and financial services industries;
    (f) Strong business development and negotiation skills and the ability to build quality relationships with stakeholders to deliver business results;
    (g) Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills; and
    (h) Good presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
         
    Notes:
    (1) The post is in the rank of Senior Lecturer.
    (2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written test in English and Chinese.
    (3) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and at different locations in and outside Hong Kong.
