    Part-time Lecturer and Project Supervisor
    School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE)

    The School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE) is a self-financed arm of the Vocational Training Council (VTC). It offers top-up bachelor degree and master’s degree programmes to VTC’s Higher Diploma graduates and other sub-degree and degree holders in collaboration with overseas universities.  Applications are now invited for the posts of Part-time Lecturer and Part-time Project Supervisor for the programme of BSc (Hons) Food Science and Nutrition offered at SHAPE (Chai Wan) in the academic year 2020/21.
    Subject Areas:
    (i) Food Processing and Preservation
    (ii) Food and Nutrition – Policies and Issues
    (iii) Biological and Food Sciences Research Project
    Major Duties:
    (a) To conduct teaching, tutorials and laboratory supervision;
    (b) To provide guidance on students’ academic writing, projects and dissertation;
    (c) To dvelop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
    (d) To carry out academic related administration duties, including serving in academic and other related meetings, etc.; and
    (e) To participate in school projects and functions, where necessary.
    (a) A recognised Master degree in related disciplines;
    (b) At least 4 years’ relevant teaching experience at tertiary / degree level or relevant work experience in related industries; and
    (c) Experience in research, dissertation / project supervision.
