Fly High Foundation honours outstanding Youth College students

Youth College, member institution of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), held the Fly High Foundation Presentation Ceremony on 25 June (Saturday), during which 50 Youth College students were awarded scholarships in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements, volunteer services and development.

Established in 2012, the Fly High Foundation was established by a group of passionate local celebrities and businessmen, including investor Marcus WONG and Mark LUI and Andy HUI of the entertainment world, to promote the all-round development of students. Both Mr WONG and Mr LUI attended the presentation ceremony and encouraged students to give their best.

At the ceremony, held in Youth College (Kwai Fong), each student was conferred a scholarship of HK$3,000. CHAN Yu-Sum, who studied the Diploma of Vocational Education (Computer-aided Product Engineering) programme was awarded for her volunteer services, during which she visited street sleepers, took care of abandoned animals, and helped elderly people living alone. She also joined the social service team of the Youth College. “Through social services, I got to understand the needs of less privileged people and learnt how to extend help to them proactively and effectively,” said Yu-Sum at the event.
