Seminar on “Standard Methods for Testing Fei Cui for Hong Kong”

Seminar on “Standard Methods for Testing Fei Cui for Hong Kong” was held on 26 February 2014 at IVE (Lee Wai Lee). Director of The Gemmological Association of Hong Kong (GAHK) Mr Norman SIU and Mr Eddie FAN shared their views and user experiences on Standard Methods for Testing Fei Cui and career in Fei Cui industry with 60 students from Higher Diploma in Jewellery Design and Technology of IVE (Lee Wai Lee).

Make Up & Hair Styling Workshops

Higher Diploma in Public Relations and Media Business had organised a Make Up & Hair Styling Workshop for students to prepare for their future education and job interview. The workshop covered general skin care knowledge, simple and beautiful day makeup tips. Students feel refreshed and the workshop is very useful for students to make simple hair styling in their daily life.

Student Final Year Project

The students from Higher Diploma in Public Relations and Media Business participated together with the Methodist Church, Kwun Tong in organising and managing the special event for Final Year Project on 23 February 2014. Students acted as event organisers in planning, organising and managing the whole event. They were highly appreciated and received encouraging compliments from the guests. After participating in organising this event, students expressed that they had a practical and fruitful experience in which they were able to learn and grow in a real-life event management experience through this project.

5-day Business and Cultural Trip to Seoul, South Korea

Higher Diploma students from Public Relations and Media Business, Event Marketing and Promotion, and Marketing Management joined the Five-Day Business and Cultural Trip in Seoul, South Korea during 12 -16 January 2014. There were totally 80 persons joined the trip to understand the local culture, history, art and discipline-related knowledge. Itinerary includes a visit to Seoul KBS television station, Heryi Art Village, Korean Folk Village, Samsung D'light electronic gallery, Ewha University and Citizen Safety Training Center. Students of IVE (LWL) exchanged ideas with local students and experienced the local academic atmosphere. They also participated in the Citizen Safety Training Centre to experience earthquake, fire and storm in response to Crisis Management and Experimental Marketing. Students was not only able to understand the local retail market business development, but also learned the television media operations and related facilities in large-scale galleries to widen their horizons.
