Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe External Affairs Office currently consists of 3 functional Teams that support the current and long-term development of HKDI and IVE (Lee Wai Lee).

Knowledge Exchange and Collaboration
To explore and develop academic collaboration and joint projects with overseas design schools, professional design organizations, design masters, and other design related organizations through active networking strategies.

Branding and Marketing
To develop and implement the branding and marketing strategies for the HKDI and IVE (Lee Wai Lee) to maximise brand awareness and media exposure, with the aim to reinforce brand positioning and reputation among prospective students and the creative industries to encourage student enrollment and graduate employment
To solicit, develop, curate, implement and manage all high-profile exhibitions as well as industry focused events on campus.

Exhibition and Event Services
Managing exhibitions programmes under the brand of HKDI Gallery, collaborating with overseas design museums, international and regional top designers and curators to present top-notch exhibitions every academic year. We also manage and implement other industry focused events inside and outside campus. In the meantime, the team manages the exhibition and performance facilities in HKDI as well.
