He pointed out, “If an economy is to grow, in a sustainable and balanced way, we must highlight the many and varied contributions of vocational education and training. We must do so by nurturing vibrant, responsible future leaders like all of you here this afternoon.” On behalf of Education Commission, he  thanked VTC for its strenuous effort in empowering so many competent, skilled and talented graduates who have enhanced the strengths and versatility of Hong Kong’s workforce and contributed to the betterment of Hong Kong.

VTC Chairman Dr Clement CHEN said in his welcoming remarks, “All along, the VTC has dedicated itself to providing its students with timely and relevant programmes and services.  Proactive efforts have been taken to strengthen the work preparedness and whole person development of our students.” Starting 2012, industrial attachment has been made a compulsory module of the higher diploma curriculum.
