52 Year 1 students of the Higher Diploma in Management for Disciplined Services of the Business Department attended the lecture from Hong Kong Customs College. During the session, students experienced the 1:1 cargo search training and the AR customs clearance training. The students enjoyed interactive activities and learned customs clearance procedures in real-life scenarios. This valuable experience reinforced the knowledge they learned in class.
The Student Awards Presentation Ceremony was successfully held to recognize the achievements of the students. The ceremony also provided a valuable opportunity for the awardees to express their most sincere gratitude to the donors in person. The award was definitely a meaningful encouragement to the awardees and inspires them to excel in their studies.
Students of the Higher Diploma in Building Studies of IVE (Tuen Mun) collaborated across disciplines with peers from the Childcare, Elderly and Community Services Discipline. They used drone aerials and 360-degree panoramic cameras to comprehensively document the architecture of Choi Hung Estate. Leveraging BIM and VR technologies, they recreated the estate's full panorama and historical scenes in the digital realm while recording oral histories and community sentiments from long-term residents to preserve Choi Hung's precious historical imprint. By integrating professional expertise with humanistic care, the project showcased the new generation's commitment to community cultural preservation and won the Community Engagement Gold Award in the VTC Community Engagement Reward Scheme – Community Quest.
