Centre for Independent Language Learning

The Centre for Independent Language Learning (CILL) is a hub for self-paced English and Chinese learning. The CILL offers a wonderful variety of materials, services and resources to make language learning immersive, enjoyable as well as effective.

The CILL also provides a comfortable and inviting environment - an environment in which students can drop in gladly to attend workshops, play board games, watch movies, read magazines and comics and make great use of a wide array of educational resources to learn languages - in fulfilling essential needs and particular interests.

In addition, various fun-filled English workshops and festive events are also hosted by Project Coordinators who are native English speakers throughout the year. Teachers from the Language Centre also offer a wide range of workshops in English and Chinese as well as “Language Clinic” sessions to cater for students’ needs.

As a whole, the CILL is not only an integral part of every language course, but also a resourceful and fun place for developing language proficiency.
