Welcome to Department of Engineering

Welcome to the Department of Engineering homepage. Our department offers higher diploma programmes, in-service training and consultancy services in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and industrial engineering related industries. We offer higher diplomas in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering as well as Diploma of Foundation Studies (Engineering).

Our students have acquired a number of awards from various international, Mainland China and local competitions such as the World Skills Competition, the Challenge Cup (National university student competition), the Mainland China Computer Aided Design (CAD) competition, Hong Kong Youth skills Competition etc. We also organized international student exchange activities with National Institute of Technology (NITs) in Japan, Institute of Technical Education (ITE) in Singapore and CAD training in USA. Furthermore, our students have opportunities in overseas and local industrial visits. Our department maintains a strong relationship with industries to provide industrial based student projects/consultancy services and industrial attachments are also provided by our industrial partners to our students.
