To provide financial assistance to students in need, the Student Development Office coordinates and assists students in applying for the following schemes:

- Tertiary Student Finance Scheme – Publicly-funded Programmes (TSFS)
- Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP)
- Non-means-tested Loan Scheme
- VTC Fee Remission Scheme
- (for the students of Diploma of Foundation Studies / English Foundation Programme / English Programme-Summer)
- IVE Student Emergency Fund
- Scholarships
- Student Travel Subsidy Scheme
- MTR Student Travel Scheme

Students with financial hardship may apply for financial assistance offered by the government’s Student Financial Assistance Agency, or the fee remission scheme offered by VTC.

Notes: Students may apply for the “VTC Tuition Fee Remission Scheme (FR)” if no grant is offered under the “Financial Assistance Scheme for Post-secondary Students (FASP)”.

(Note: Flat Rate Grant for Academic Expenses is not applicable)
